Heather Potts Lang

AIA, WELL AP, LEED AP ND + Homes

Heather Potts Lang is an architect and educator working in the fields of affordable housing, ethical development, and social sustainability. She is the owner of Potts Lang Architects and a guest lecturer in the School of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she was the recipient of the 2022 CIOS Award for Student Recognition of Excellence in Teaching. She is a graduate and past Advisory Committee member of the AIA Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program’s Georgia chapter and a participant in the AIA/Georgia Tech mentorship program, where she uses her work to advocate for accessible education and equity in the building professions. 

A graduate of Georgia Tech’s Master of Architecture program, Heather worked professionally in Brooklyn, New York, before practicing in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been published in Archhive’s book series, Emerging Ideas in Architecture and Design, on topics of sustainable practice and accessibility, and she has had the privilege of speaking to students at the 2022 Equity in Architecture Forum at Georgia Tech about ways to improve architecture education. Having spent much of her career in leadership positions within a male-dominated industry, Heather hopes to be a resource and mentor for young female leaders.

Natalie Rose

Natalie Rose is a Master of Architecture student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she previously received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a minor in Sustainable Cities, graduating with highest honors. For the past three years, Natalie has served on the Executive Board of AIA’s student branch of Equity in Architecture, where she works to spread equity within the profession, academia, and K-12 schools. She is passionate about the earth’s ecosystems, sustainability, high performance buildings, and intersectionality. Natalie works to utilize systems-thinking methodology when approaching design challenges. She has shown herself to be a hard worker with an attention to detail and sensitivity for compassionate design.
